TCH and Tim Holehouse news update!

Firstly sorry its been so long updating this several months have gone by and I haven’t really touched the website much. Sorry to all those who have been looking at it wondering where I had gone. I’m planning also when I get a bit more free time to sort the website out fully update links and stick a whole bunch more stuff on the site including a store where you can buy my records, CD’s and T-shirts. Hopefully you will be seeing some changes in the next few months. So on with the news…

Tim Holehouse
Well as I’m sure you are all aware I’ve been on the road full time now pretty much for the last 3 years! Its been a hella’ ride and does not look like its going to be slowing down anytime soon. I’d like to thank all my good friends who have either come to shows, put me up or put me on a show I really appreciate it and what people have done for me to help me keep doing this.
The next news is and I’m sure Vincente won’t mind me announcing this I have signed to Lucinda records from Madrid for my next album “Fighter” which will hopefully be out in September, then also hopefully early 2013 the 2nd part in the trilogy of albums “A man walks into a bar” and then later “Antidote” the last part towards the end of 2013.
The reason for it being 3 albums is that each of the albums is they are each very different. The first “Fighter” is a purley acoustic delta blues album recorded on an old analogue machine by Sam Thredder at the Cro’s Nest in Purley in a three hour session all done in one take by me, my guitar and stomp (except hit the road Jack where Sam added Claps and shouts) sort of live in the studio album that has been done really in the style of the old Delta players recordings. “Fighter” will come out on 10” Vinyl mastered to Vinyl by Mr James Plotkin formerly of the wonderful Khante.
The second Album “a Man walks into a bar…” is more of band album like “Grit” except this time more learning towards a punk, rock and roll, garage rock and blues vibe. Most of the tracks where recorded in New York By Max Hodes and the band consisted of Members of (Alien Whale Boy, CLO, EX-USAISAMONSTER and Necking). The other tracks where recorded again by Sam Thredder and with my good friend Kevin Gardner (Ex- Among the missing, Fantaplastic and Ophielian) on drums was great hooking up with him again to play music since our days in Among the missing.
The final album will be called “Antidote” and will be tracks recorded with me and one other artist or friend helping me. This album is a real mixed bag and is varied and sometimes pretty experimental in the song writing style and instrumentation.
As well as all this possible split records with Missing Leech, Slushy guts, Duncan Evans and a live tape all maybe possibly coming out from me in the future.
As well as the usual insane amount of touring I’m sure. I’m sure you know the drill by now… if you want me to come play get in touch always open to offers and happy to play most kinds of shows!

TCH
Ok firstly for those who have bought the Vaelium 10” you may have realised you got 2”s extra no idea why it just came back from the pressing plant the wrong size. Sorry all you fans of the 10” record and not the 12”. Its is still a lovely blue marbled colour and has a nice screened sleeve.
The next release I should talk about is that of the release of my split with Left hand Cuts off the right Preston/Lodz . Which is one new very Long Piece from me and 5 new pieces from Left hand cuts off the right (AKA Robbie Judkins). This Release celebrates our tour from Preston to Lodz in poland Via the Baltic Countries. It will be a Vinyl release again 12” this time black Vinyl with two photographic prints from the tour taken by our good friend and driver for the tour Chris Bates. There are also a limited number of CD copies available which if requested can be placed within the vinyl or bought on their own for those without record players.
“The Earth Crumbled into the ocean, as flames licked the sky, we hung our heads knowing the end was nigh!” album is almost ready and I am talking to a few labels recently and hopefully this will be released as soon as possible. Timothy C Holehouse is now TCH and Vaelium collective

Well the first bit of news is that I’m no longer using Timothy C Holehouse for my drone, noise and file under other work. I have decided to call myself TCH. Its just my initials, but suites the more minimal direction the music is going in and saves confusion from my blues material.
So with this I have a few new releases… The first is a split with Vaelium collective which is a group of musicians organized by RSC (Ross Myhill) I am a part time member of this group and bot myself and Ross appear on both sides of the 10″

The record will look like this…

And a launch party in London… as well as a party night at the Mucky Pup our spiritual home and finally a few UK dates…

Also a tape split with RSC will be out on the same date one live track and a remix of my side of the 10″ by RSC.

I will also be touring the Baltics and Poland releasing a split 12″ with Robbie Judkins (AKA Left hand cuts off the right) with a new 17 minute piece named Preston.

A new album later in the year called Earth Crumbled into the Ocean, as flames licked the sky, we hung our heads knowing that the end was nigh! On double gate fold vinyl and possibly CD. Which will be four long tracks.

The final release will be a picture disc 7″ with as yet undecided other group.

End of year Review…

Firstly sorry for the late posting of this review, the insanity of 2011 rolled well into 2012!
So what a year! Another year on the road for me! I think was close to 250 shows many countries and two continents.
This year also saw the release of the third Tim Holehouse album “Grit” after a slight delay with the pressing plant it finally arrive and was repressed in 2011 too. I also released a split 7” with my good friend Gipsy Rufina from Italy on Rizona recs label from Switzerland, run by good friend Ronnie who’s Children Pablo and Martha helped in a big way with the art work.
I also finished several new recordings with Timothy C Holehouse material which is now changing its name to TCH to save confusion and to go with my more minimal approach to the music. These recordings will see the light of day in 2012 for sure.
So all in all a very busy year touring, recording and writing new material for future releases. Highlights included a two month tour in America my biggest tour to date over there and certainly my longest going from coast to coast. I also recorded several new songs in both Michigan City and New York, with my good friends Kahlil and Max respectively. Also so very special guest appear on these recordings.
Other Highlights to the year would be a fanatastic tour in Finland, being on National radio in Spain, a great tour in Northern Ireland. Drunken fun times in France and Switzerland. Watching a cracking game of Football in Germany (go Dusseldorf Fortuna!!!) Seeing my friends in Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia. Playing with Gerda Blank in Czech republic. And all the Crazy and awesomely nice people I have met on my adventures… too many of you to name! But Thank you so much cause without you I would not be able to do this.
So what does 2012 hold (ok I know we’re already two months in now) well more touring for one! Yes my schedule is getting busier and busier… which is a good thing I reckon. (Those e-mailing me if I take a while reply I am sorry its just I am super busy it seems its not me ignoring you… I will try to answer everything as soon as I can).
Several new releases are set for release, and bunch more touring and hopefully getting to some more places I haven’t been before.

Mainland European tour 2011

Apologies first of all to you all for the lack of updates recently. Its been a busy year of touring. First of all thanks to everybody in the UK for making me and Gipsy Rufina feel so welcome.
I have now started my Autumn and Winter tour on the mainland of Europe again. I’m taking in some new areas and seeing some old friends from my last couple of years touring.
I must also thank Vincente from Lucinda Records for the support and help with everything in Spain. Thanks to him I have now been on national radio in Spain.

UK tour and Split record with Gipsy Rufina

So yes the split 7″ with Gipsy Rufina my good touring buddy from the mountains of Italy. Ronnie, Marta and Pablo from Locarno did the artwork and Ronnie’s label Risonanza Records and my Label Dislocation Deity records.

New releases and further news!

Well the first news is I’m looking for labels for both my projects. I have several upcoming releases including a new album and I’ve decided its time for a change. So I won’t be doing stuff on my own label for now.

Timothy C Holehouse
The first release is a split with my good friend Robbie Judkins from Preston who is now doing solo material under the name Left hand cuts off the right. We are looking for a bunch of labels to help in a small way to help us put out a split 12″ Vinyl. If you want to help get in touch for that.

The second is my next album which will be a double Vinyl release and is possibly the heaviest thing I’ve done since Among the missing and Naked shit. I would really like a full label backing on this one of possible both in Europe and the US n Canada.

US Tour dates Cancelled

So first of all apologies to all those in the southern states of America I had to pull out of the tour early for reason’s I’m not going into on the internet. But i promise I will be back next year for a full on tour of the states hopefully with a new US label and other stuff behind me. Stay posted here as this is where I will announce stuff first.
Thank you to everybody in the east and northwest was heaps of fun. I would like to thank everybody who put me on, put me up and came to the shows. Really hope to see you all again next year. I will put a list up soon of all the excellent acts i played with and discovered on my tour. Lots of great music and great times.
The new album for Tim Holehouse “A man walked into a bar…” is part way completed I have done all my parts as had Nick the drummer (Alien Whale boy and Necking) as has Max Hodes (the engineer and bass player on this record) , soon hopefully Joe will put his Piano part down, Colin Langneus (Alien Whale boy, C.L.O., and ex USAISAMONSTER) ill shred some, Pete (Bows and Ribbons) will lay some nice desert guitar down and Willow some soulful vocals (Bows and Ribbons). I’m also hoping to get a very special guest to do Harmonica as my skills on the Harmonica are still a tad basic. I have also started recording with my friends Khalil a Brett from
I now have a month off now so will be booking myself up for the rest of the year and trying to work on a few projects (which may involve a new Timothy C Holehouse album being written).
Some more releases are due before the end of the year including… A 12″ Timothy C Holehouse/Left hand cuts off the right, 7″ Tim Holehouse/Gipsy Rufina, Tape cassette Banana Pill/Timothy C Holehouse, Double 12″ LP Timothy C Holehouse – The Earth crumbled into the Ocean as Flames licked the Sky, we hung our heads knowing that the end was nigh!
Also at the end of July i will be touring in Finland with my good friend Juhana iivonen, as well as some shows in Denmark, Germany and Holland. Further tours are also in the panning stages and I will be doing a full scale European tour all the way to and possibly including Christmas day.

US Tour 2011

Hi sorry for not updating the site for a while it’s been super busy sorting the US tour and I had to keep the tour a bit under wraps. But I’m in New York now and the tour is underway!
Thanks so much first of all to all the people of Spain and Portugal (especially Pedro and Albert) for all their help and kindness to me during my time there. I had a great time and hope to be back early November for a tour of both countries.
So I am now on a mammoth Tour of the United States of America taking two months and half months of touring before in the final week recording the new album “A man walks into a bar” with my good friend Max Hodes in New York. It will be a new 12 track album and hopefully may see the light before the end of the year. I will unlike the previous two albums have me playing most of the instruments (although the drums and Piano will be done by two nice guys I’ve met in New York during my brief stay at the start of this tour). Other than that it will be mostly me recording the record which will be more acoustic than grit but with the same blues vibe. It will be closer to the sound I have live. The songs where all written on the Grit tour over the last year and yes I have been on the road pretty much just over a year now!

Hi Ok the UK tour has been great amounts of fun this last month thanks to everybody who has put me on, put me up, come to the shows and generally been awesome to me. You really all are so kind.

I’m into the studio now recording for a split with Gipsy Rufina (my good friend from Italy). As well as a new Timothy C Holehouse track for the split with left hand cuts off the right (my good friend Robbie Juddkins from Preston). Both will be on Vinyl releases out soon.

I have also been doing a few Radio sessions in the last few months some of which may appear on releases if they sound alright. But as a treat to you here are a few from a Dutch radio session I did.

In other news I have also demoed the new record with my Good friend Duncan Evans (Electric Mud Generator) done in less than 3 hours its some rough sketches to the new album “A Man walks into a bar…” I have put a couple of the demo tracks up on the media page please feel free to let me know what you make of them. Not too far removed from the Grit stuff but it’s certainly changed again.

Also I should mention last but not least I will be going to America not just to record the new record but also to tour for three month.
